Binding Tariff Information (BTI) is an administrative decision issued by the relevant country’s Ministry or Customs Authority in response to a written or electronic request from a person, regarding the classification of goods in the Customs Tariff Schedule.

BTI decisions are usually valid for a certain period, and this period varies by country. For instance, in our country, the decision is valid for 6 years from the issuance date, while in the UK and European Union countries, it is valid for 3 years.

Customs authorities must classify goods that are clearly identical to those in the BTI, in accordance with the BTI determination and accept the same HS Code.

You can access information about BTI decisions, such as HS Code, Issuing Country, Issued Language, and Validity Period through the database.
